Dr Tiziano Scarabelli
Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
About me
Dr. Tizaiano Scarabelli MD, a general cardiologist and cardiac oncologist, specializes on providing excellent care to his patients in the fast-paced setting of Polaris Heart and Vascular Clinic in Woodbridge, Virginia. He earned his medical degree in Italy and completed two fellowships in clinical pathology and cardiology before coming to the United States.
He subsequently moved to Detroit, Michigan, because he plainly wanted to broaden his horizons rather than rest on his laurels. In New York, he completed a further residency in internal medicine and was awarded a cardiac fellowship.
He accepted positions in Alabama and Virginia because he knew he wanted to specialize on cardiology, and he still does.
Current Position and Responsibilities of Dr. Tiziano Scarabelli
In keeping with today's multimedia society, he meets with his patients at their convenience, whether through office visits or telemedicine. He works at Polaris Heart and Vascular Clinic, where he does a battery of tests on patients in order to diagnose heart abnormalities. He also conducts internal medicine acute care appointments via two telemedicine platforms.
He worked at the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2015-2016 and then transferred his skills to the Birmingham VA Hospital, where he built a cardiac oncology department complete with a cardiac echocardiography equipment. From 2017 to 2018, he was the director of Virginia Commonwealth University's cardiac oncology program.
He now treats patients at Polaris Heart and Vascular Clinic, conducts rigorous cardiology research, and directs the Center for Heart and Vessel Preclinical Studies, which he developed at St John Hospital and Medical Center in Michigan.
